Cleaning Your Cartridge Filter
Turn the pool system completely OFF, via the chlorinator, dosing system or controller.
Open the air bleed valve(s) on the top of the filter to release the pressure and air out of the cartridge filter housing.

Untighten the lid locking ring, and remove the lid (be aware not to drop the lid O’ring)

Please remove the cartridge element(s) and hose them down to remove most of the dirt, then soak them overnight in a FILTER CLEANER chemical. (this will aid in the removal of oils and fats from the element cartridge)

After soaking the cartridge element(s) make sure to hose them down again and place back into the cartridge filter housing.

It is always good to lubricate the O’ring to stop any leaks when putting the cleaner back together. (Do not use Vaseline as it will harm the O’Ring; better to use a food-grade lubricant)
Align the top lid and locking ring back into position, and hand tighten.
Make sure the air bleed valve(s) are loose and in.

Turn the pool system ON and slowly tighten the air bleed valve(s) to assist with the water pressure and flow back through the cartridge filter. When water spurts out, tighten to stop.

An installation of the award-winning Multicyclone (pre-filter) will prevent you from cleaning these elements for up to 12 months (pending water quality/clarity), saving water and time and extending the life of the elements.
